Poetry Dedicated to an Angelic Warrior

You came, You conquered

You gave, You loved

You shared your compassion and your beauty with the world.

There is a huge void in the space you once occupied. For now we just can't stop crying

There is simply no denying and we are not 

exaggerating or lying

When we say, we don't know how we can make it without you; without your heavenly,

angelic glow

You transitioned just as gracefully and beautifully, as you lived. You told us you had given us and the world , all you had to give

Yet, you passed....

the torch,

and you both told us and showed us

How to carry on...

With strength, dignity, compassion, support for one another, and above all, love

Then you descended so beautifully

 up to heaven above,

 just like a pure, holy, & sacred dove.

I am Sunshine

I am Light

I shine

so very bright

for the world to see

But sometimes clouds come along

and hide me

But, nevertheless,

I don't cease to be

Look for me 

and you will find me

I will be right where

you need me to be

I've heard it said and I've seen it written, "she lost her battle with cancer."

But oh no, my daughter, didn't lose her battle, just like her battle, she didn't choose

Instead, she faced it, she embraced it,

and she aced it.

You see, the world doesn't get to choose 

who will win or who will lose

When you fight with faith and 

the WORD is your Shield, you have a different definition of being HEALED

She smiled, instead of crying 

And though it hurt, she didn't fear dying

She gave the world her best and now it's up 

to the rest to try to pass the very same test

She was a warrior and she fought in ways 

others would never have thought; 

For the heart of her Creator, 

she indeed caught

If we endure, we can all see her again.

On the day that her earthly life did end,

This Angel, knew no sin. 

So for that, my daughter, 

did indeed win!

Angel Girl,

We all know we must go that way some day

But we never knew it would be you

to pave the way

Your auntie said you were the best of us

Now it's up to the rest of us

To finish what you started 

and to do it all whole- hearted

We promise to not let you down

but Angel Girl,

It's hard not having you around

But we're gonna do this,

And we're gonna be true to this,

Motivated by the YOU

that we so painfully miss

Look down on us,

and please don't frown on us

when we stumble along the way

Cause Angel Girl,

We miss you EACH and EVERY DAY!

We Love you Eternally

Help!

It's getting weirder day by day

Can't believe you are really gone away,

to stay

I miss you more & more each day;

It wasn't supposed to be this way

It will get easier, they say

They don't have a clue,  But I do

because as your mother

I was supposed to precede you

No one knew you better than me,

except of course, your TWIN T...

He was the lock and you were the key

That fact all your siblings knew, and could truly see. Yet, you were their honey bee

Always as sweet as only You, could be;

Pollinating them like a flower

spreading good cheer, giving & sharing,

hour upon hour

As for me, You were Thelma & I was Louise

The two of us were thicker than thieves;

spending all our time together as we pleased

Even sharing time on our knees,

 Begging God if he would, to not let you leave.

But also realizing you were His Angel first;

And He knows better your timing & what you need 

At least that's what we hope & believe.

Yet even with all of that faith & belief, 

This pain & void has no relief

We thought we would be together forever

But now you have gone on to heaven,

Leaving me behind to brave this stormy weather.

Your memories will be with me always,

On both sunny and rainy days

Our love is eternal 

And I will forget you,

never, ever, ever
